Michael Dolezal Airlifted After Being Ejected in Kandiyohi County Crash

On April 17, 2025, a serious vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of 15th Street and 120th Avenue Southeast in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, resulting in one individual being airlifted for medical treatment. According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 11:50 a.m. and arrived at the scene north of Svea to find a 2023 Jeep Wrangler in the northwest ditch. The driver, 70-year-old Michael Dolezal, had been ejected from the vehicle following a collision with a Ford F-250 pickup truck. Emergency services, including the Blomkest Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, CentraCare Emergency Medical Services, and Life Link III, responded promptly to assist at the scene.

The pickup truck, driven by 31-year-old Blake Fossen, was traveling north on 15th Street and failed to stop at a stop sign at 120th Avenue, leading to the crash, as reported by Sgt. Dave Nester of the Sheriff’s Office. Dolezal was flown by LifeLink Air Ambulance for treatment of unspecified injuries, while Fossen and his passenger, 23-year-old Logan Redpenning, both from Willmar, were treated at the scene for minor injuries
