Abigail Hill Killed in Highway 395 Crash Near Loon Lake

On June 15, 2025, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 395 near Loon Lake, Washington, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including 21-year-old Abigail Hill. According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the incident took place at approximately 4 p.m. near Sunset Bay Road and involved three vehicles.

The collision began when one northbound vehicle attempted to pass another on the right shoulder, causing a sideswipe that forced both cars into the southbound lane. One of these vehicles struck a southbound car, while the other collided with a tree. Amber Calicoat, 43, was the second fatality, and two other individuals sustained injuries. WSP noted that neither Calicoat nor the driver of the second northbound vehicle was wearing a seatbelt, and charges are pending for the surviving northbound driver. Authorities have confirmed the involvement of drugs or alcohol in the crash.
