David Holmes Dies in High-Speed Crash in Parkland

On June 14, 2025, David Holmes Jr., a 65-year-old resident of Spanaway, Washington, died in a high-speed car crash in Parkland. The incident occurred near 112th Street East and D Street East, in front of the Monterra Apartments. Holmes succumbed to multiple blunt-force injuries, and the manner of death was ruled an accident by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver, a 54-year-old woman, was critically injured and remains hospitalized. Authorities suspect her of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence, with evidence suggesting the crash resulted from reckless driving at speeds well above the legal limit.
