Afton Guyer Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 64 in Poplar Township

On August 31, 2025, 22-year-old Afton Martin Guyer of Otsego, Minnesota, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash on southbound Highway 64 at 56th Street Southwest in Poplar Township, Cass County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Guyer was a passenger in a 2012 Kia Forte that was rear-ended by a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado after traffic had slowed to a stop.

Guyer and the driver of the Kia, identified as 18-year-old Kylee Marie Boman of Isanti, were both transported to Lakewood Health System for medical treatment. The occupants of the Chevrolet, including a 16-year-old male driver and two other teenage passengers, were uninjured. The road was dry at the time of the crash, and no alcohol was involved.
