Sheila Stanton Killed in Grocery Store Crash in Kirkland, Washington

On August 31, 2025, Sheila Stanton was fatally injured when a vehicle crashed into a Grocery Outlet store located at 6625 132nd Avenue Northeast in the Bridle Trails neighborhood of Kirkland, Washington. Authorities report that a 74-year-old female driver drove through the front of the store, striking Stanton while she was shopping with a friend. Stanton succumbed to her injuries while en route to the hospital.

Several others, including the driver and a mother and child, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by local authorities.
