Amarion Williams Injured in Fatal State Highway 5 Accident

On April 10, 2025, a tragic accident occurred on State Highway 5 near Owensville Cutoff in Lonsdale, Saline County, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. According to the Arkansas State Police, the incident involved three vehicles: a 2006 Chevrolet C4500, a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze, and a 2021 Ford F350. The collision sequence began when the Chevrolet C4500, traveling westbound, struck the rear of the Chevrolet Cruze, which was also heading west. Subsequently, the Ford F350, driven by 21-year-old Amarion Williams of Mabelvale, was traveling eastbound and collided with the passenger side of the Cruze, causing it to strike a tree.

The passenger in the Chevrolet Cruze, 27-year-old Elijah Lansford of Perryville, was fatally injured in the accident. The driver of the Cruze, 69-year-old Steven Lansford of Orange, California, and Amarion Williams sustained injuries and were transported to Saline Memorial Hospital for treatment. The investigation is being conducted by Trooper Jacob Byrd of the Arkansas State Police, and the body of the deceased is being held at the Saline County Coroner's Office.
