Andre Champagne Dies in Tulsa Crash at 71st and Yale

On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 3, 2025, 81-year-old Andre Champagne of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was fatally injured in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 71st Street and Yale Avenue. According to Tulsa Police, a northbound Chevy pickup attempted a left turn and failed to yield, colliding with a southbound white Chevy Malibu driven by Champagne, who had the right-of-way under a green light.

Emergency responders extricated Champagne from his vehicle and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the pickup truck received medical treatment and was released. The investigation remains ongoing, with findings to be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
