Dwane Sukert Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 90 in North Bend, WA

On September 3, 2025, a fatal collision involving two semi-trucks occurred on Interstate 90 near Exit 32 in North Bend, Washington. According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash was triggered by a front-steering axle tire blowout on one of the westbound trucks. The vehicle veered out of its lane and collided with a logging truck, causing it to leave the roadway and roll down an embankment.

The driver of the logging truck, 38-year-old Dwane Sukert of Port Angeles, WA, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Sukert was employed by Ellis Trucking LLC. The driver of the other truck, a 57-year-old male, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation by state authorities is ongoing.
