Andrew Thomas Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on US 395 Near Connell

On May 31, 2025, two separate crashes occurred on US 395 north of Connell, Washington, resulting in one fatality and five injuries, as reported by the Washington State Patrol. The first incident took place shortly after 4 p.m., approximately four miles north of Connell, when a truck slowed for traffic and was struck by a car. The driver of the car sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A second crash, involving six vehicles, occurred at the same location as the first. This pileup was attributed to drivers traveling at excessive speeds for the prevailing conditions. Andrew Thomas, 29, of Spokane, Washington, was pronounced dead at the scene of the second crash. Four additional individuals sustained injuries in the incident.
