Aron Leavstrom Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on I-35 Near Medford Township

A two-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 09:14 AM on September 4, 2025, on northbound Interstate 35 near milepost 49 in Medford Township, Steele County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2011 Honda Pilot and a 2009 Lexus LS460 were both traveling northbound when they collided under dry road conditions.

Aron Ray Leavstrom, age 49, of Owatonna, Minnesota, was a passenger in the Honda Pilot and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Owatonna Hospital for medical evaluation. The driver of the Honda, 41-year-old Seth Eric Leavstrom, was also injured and transported to the same facility. The driver of the Lexus, 19-year-old Humberto Penaloza Molina of Minneapolis, reported no injuries. Alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
