Thomas Lenertz Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on MN Highway 29 in Alexandria Township

A two-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 17:35 on September 4, 2025, on MN Highway 29 at Crestwood Drive NE in Alexandria Township, Douglas County, Minnesota. The incident involved a 2017 Ford Edge and a 2017 Chevrolet Cruz, both traveling northbound when the vehicles collided under dry road conditions.

Thomas Clarence Lenertz, age 88, of Alexandria, Minnesota, was a passenger in the Ford Edge and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was not transported for medical care. The driver of the Ford, 63-year-old Laura Marie Lenertz, also reported minor injuries but declined transport. The Chevrolet Cruz was operated by Angel Maria Gutierrez, age 39, who was uninjured. A 12-year-old female passenger in the Cruz sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Alomere Health. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
