Ayan Hassan Injured in Fatal Arden Hills Crash
On August 12, 2025, at 6:26 p.m., a fatal crash occurred on westbound Interstate 694 at Highway 10 in Arden Hills, Ramsey County, Minnesota. A 2011 Subaru Legacy, driven by Fatuma Yussuf Sharif-Isaack, 21, of Brooklyn Park, veered from the right lane into the left shoulder, struck a guardrail, rolled over, and collided with a 2021 Honda CR-V driven by Lynie Rose Lee, 41, of Maplewood. Sharif-Isaack, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at HCMC. Ayan Ali Hassan, 20, of Fridley, a passenger in the Subaru, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to HCMC for treatment. Another passenger, Fatima Mursal Jaamac, 21, of Brooklyn Park, was also injured and received medical attention at the same facility.The incident occurred under dry road conditions, and the Honda driver reported no injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol, assisted by Allina EMS, St. Paul Fire, and Ramsey County authorities, is investigating the cause of the crash.
