Chad Swenstad Injured in Nicollet County Truck Accident

On August 12, 2025, at 1:51 p.m., a two-vehicle incident occurred on Minnesota Highway 15, just south of Fort Road in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota. A 2005 Sterling straight truck, driven by Chad Michael Swenstad, 48, of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, was traveling northbound when a 2013 Ford Edge, driven by Bryson Issaiah Milburn, 20, of New Ulm, Minnesota, veered into the northbound lane. To avoid a collision, Swenstad swerved, causing the truck to leave the roadway and overturn in a ditch. Swenstad sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to New Ulm Medical Center for treatment, while Milburn reported no injuries.The incident took place under dry road conditions, with both drivers wearing seat belts and no alcohol involvement reported. The Minnesota State Patrol, assisted by the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, Allina EMS, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation, is investigating the cause of the crash.
