Both vehicles were traveling southbound on Highway 149 when they veered into the northbound lanes just before the intersection with Highway 55. The Jeep Compass collided with a traffic light pole on the northeast corner of the intersection, while the Honda Accord proceeded through the intersection and came to rest in the southeast ditch.
