Jeffry and Catherine Gray Killed in St. George, Utah Wrong-Way Crash – September 2, 2025
On September 2, 2025, officials confirmed the identities of two Washington City residents, Jeffry Alan Gray and Catherine Gray, both aged 68, who were killed in a head-on collision involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 15 in St. George, Utah. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when 89-year-old Norene Jones entered the highway at Exit 5 driving southbound in the northbound lanes and collided with a Toyota occupied by the Grays and two others.
Both Jeffry and Catherine Gray were pronounced dead at the scene. The two surviving occupants of their vehicle, identified as young adult females, were airlifted to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the fatal wrong-way entry, which resulted in three fatalities and two hospitalizations.
