Jordan Konanui Kong Dies in Balcony Fall at Utah Tech University – St. George, Utah, September 2, 2025

On August 31, 2025, 22-year-old Jordan Konanui Kong, a freshman at Utah Tech University, died after falling from the fifth-floor balcony of his campus residence at Campus View Suites II in St. George, Utah. Emergency responders, including the Utah Tech Police Department and the St. George Fire Department, arrived at the scene following a 911 call placed at approximately 5:42 p.m. Kong was transported to St. George Regional Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

University officials confirmed his death and stated that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fall is ongoing.
