Joey Williams Injured in Fatal Car Accident on State Highway 7 in Rural Union, Arkansas

On June 10, 2025, at approximately 10:55 a.m., a fatal car accident occurred on State Highway 7 at the intersection of Pershing Highway in Rural Union, Union County, Arkansas. The collision involved two vehicles: a 2007 Pontiac, driven by 81-year-old Huey Lane Green of Smackover, and a 2005 Chevrolet, driven by 22-year-old Tristen Dewayne Peebles of Camden. According to the Arkansas State Police, both vehicles were traveling southbound on State Highway 7 when the Pontiac attempted to make a left turn from the shoulder, crossing the southbound lane, and was struck on the left side by the Chevrolet.

The driver of the Pontiac, Huey Lane Green, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger in the Pontiac, 39-year-old Joey Allen Williams of Ward, sustained injuries and was transported to South Arkansas Regional Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet, Tristen Dewayne Peebles, was also injured and taken to the same medical facility. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, with Trooper Logan Holmes of the Arkansas State Police leading the inquiry.
