Jose Valdes Fatality: Motorcyclist Dies in Algonquin Crash

On June 17, 2025, at approximately 3:41 a.m., a collision occurred at the intersection of Longmeadow Parkway and Sleepy Hollow Road in Algonquin, Illinois. A motorcycle, operated by 29-year-old Jose Valdes of Carpentersville, was traveling eastbound on Longmeadow Parkway. A white sedan, traveling westbound on the same road, attempted to turn southbound onto Sleepy Hollow Road. The vehicles collided within the intersection during the sedan's turn. Valdes sustained critical injuries and was transported to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, then airlifted to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. He was pronounced dead on the morning of June 20, 2025. The driver of the sedan remained uninjured. The Algonquin Police Department, assisted by the Kane County Crash Assistance Response Team, is investigating the incident.
