Lacey Man Struck by Two Vehicles on Martin Way Identified as Antonio Lopez

On the evening of Friday, May 3, 2025, a tragic accident occurred in Lacey, Washington, resulting in the death of 70-year-old Antonio Lopez. The Thurston County Coroner, Gary Warnock, officially identified Lopez on Sunday as the pedestrian struck by two vehicles on Martin Way East near Galaxy Drive. The incident, reported around 10:45 p.m., prompted a swift response from Thurston County Sheriff’s deputies dispatched to the 8000 block of Martin Way East. Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Brooks indicated that Lopez appeared to have crossed the road directly in front of the vehicles involved, leading to the fatal collision. Despite efforts at the scene, Lopez was pronounced dead, and a medical examination scheduled for Tuesday aims to determine the precise cause of death.
