Lori Pelland Injured in ATV Crash Near Pierz, Minnesota

On the morning of Saturday, August 30, 2025, Lori Pelland, 57, of International Falls, Minnesota, sustained injuries in a side-by-side ATV crash in Morrison County. The incident occurred around 7:00 a.m. along the Soo Line Trail between Partridge Road and 335th Avenue in Hillman Township, approximately six miles east of Pierz.

According to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, Lori was a passenger in the ATV driven by 58-year-old Troy Pelland, also of International Falls, when the vehicle lost control, entered a steep ditch, and rolled. Both occupants were transported to St. Cloud Hospital with unspecified injuries. Responding agencies included the Minnesota State Patrol, Pierz Fire Department, Pierz First Response Team, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
