Mason Arneson Involved in Car Accident in Mountain Iron

On June 14, 2025, at approximately 4:16 PM, a traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 169 and Campground Road in Mountain Iron, St. Louis County, Minnesota. The Minnesota State Patrol reports that a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander, driven by Rebekah Ellen Tweten, 42, of Kinney, Minnesota, was turning south onto Campground Road from southbound Highway 169 when it was struck by a northbound 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, driven by Desira Marie Fagan, 26, of Hibbing, Minnesota. The impact caused disabling damage to both vehicles, with airbags deploying in each. The road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.

Mason Dean Arneson, 44, of Hibbing, Minnesota, was a passenger in the Jeep Wrangler and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, requiring transportation to Essentia Health Virginia for medical attention. Other individuals involved included Rebekah Tweten and her 14-year-old passenger, Joshua Patrick Tweten, both of whom sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and 11-year-old passenger Alissa Fay Tweten, who was uninjured. In the Jeep, Desira Fagan was also taken to Essentia Health Virginia with non-life-threatening injuries, while two other passengers, aged 7 and 4, were unharmed. The Minnesota State Patrol District 3100 Virginia is overseeing the investigation, with assistance from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, St. Louis County Rescue, Virginia Fire, Cook EMS, and Essentia EMS.
