Melissa and Mylea Kaping Injured in Little Falls Car Accident

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 2:38 PM, a collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 27 and 160th Avenue in Little Falls Township, Morrison County, Minnesota, resulting in injuries to Melissa Ann Kaping and Mylea Ameryth Kaping. The incident involved a 2012 Ford F250 Pickup, driven by 61-year-old Troy Duwayne Mckinley of Duluth, and a 2007 Honda Odyssey Van, driven by 53-year-old Melissa Ann Kaping of Little Falls. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the Ford Pickup was stationary at Highway 27 and proceeded into the intersection, failing to yield to the westbound Honda Odyssey Van, which caused the crash. Both Melissa and her passenger, 26-year-old Mylea Kaping, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls for medical attention.

The accident took place under dry road conditions, and alcohol was not a contributing factor. Two other passengers in the Honda Odyssey, Karen Jean Kuchinski and 0-year-old Flint Jeremy Westholder, were uninjured, as was the driver of the Ford Pickup, Troy Mckinley.
