Pittsfield Pedestrian Shawn Ouillette Killed in Fatal Accident

A devastating accident took place on Barker Rd in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where a vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian. According to the Pittsfield Police Department, the incident occurred on Monday April 28th, 2025, at approximately 2:38 p.m. The vehicle, a 2009 Lincoln Town Car driven by 85-year-old Mr. Ricco Dus of Pittsfield, was traveling north on Barker Rd when it collided with 62-year-old pedestrian Shawn Ouillette, who was walking in the same direction. Emergency responders, including the Pittsfield Police Department, Pittsfield Fire Department, Action Ambulance, and Lenox Ambulance Department, arrived swiftly at the scene. Mr. Ouillette was transported to Berkshire Medical Center (BMC), where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. The road was closed between South Mountain Rd and Tamarack Rd for approximately two hours to facilitate the investigation and clear the roadway.
