Ramona Pavlas Dies in Auto-Pedestrian Accident in Taylor, Texas

On June 4, 2025, at approximately 4:03 p.m., Ramona Pavlas, a 59-year-old resident of Taylor, Texas, was fatally injured in an auto-pedestrian accident on the 3700 block of North Main Street. The Taylor Police Department reported that Pavlas was operating a motorized mobility scooter eastbound in a crosswalk when she was struck by a 2013 black Subaru that failed to yield the right of way at the intersection. Pavlas was pronounced deceased at the scene.The incident, which caused a temporary closure of North Main Street between Chandler Road and Mallard Lane, marks the first fatal collision in Taylor for 2025. The Taylor Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. This marks the second such fatality in the area within a 12-month period, following a similar incident in September 2024.
