Security Guard Robert Agu Fatally Shot While on Duty in Oklahoma City

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, the Oklahoma City community was struck by tragedy when Robert Agu, a 40-year-old security guard, was fatally shot while patrolling an abandoned apartment complex in southwest Oklahoma City. Agu, a Marine veteran, devoted husband, and father of two young boys, was discovered deceased in his vehicle after his wife grew alarmed by his unresponsiveness to her calls. The local security company he worked for also noted his lack of communication and alerted the police, who arrived to find that Agu had been shot to death, underscoring the persistent issue of gun violence in the area.
