Tawni Jahns Injured in Fatal Grant County Accident

On April 25, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a tragic single-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 28 near Marlin, Washington, claiming the life of a Moses Lake man and injuring his passenger. The Grant County Sheriff's Office reports that 33-year-old Don "Chris" Terrell was driving his pickup truck at a high rate of speed when he ran a stop sign, lost control, veered off the roadway, and rolled four times. Terrell, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The passenger, 39-year-old Tawni Jahns of Richland, Washington, sustained injuries in the incident and was airlifted to an out-of-area hospital for medical treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
