Wyatt Renne Injured in Meeker County Car Accident

On May 16, 2025, at approximately 12:18 PM, a significant traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 55 and Highway 4 in Union Grove Township, Meeker County, under wet road conditions. The collision involved a 2014 Chrysler 200, driven by 19-year-old Vicente Gordon Vela of Litchfield, MN, traveling northbound on Highway 4, and a 2016 Ford Taurus, driven by 29-year-old Megan Renee Legler-Ferguson of Grove City, MN, traveling eastbound on Highway 55. Emergency response teams, including the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, Paynesville Fire and Rescue, and Centra Care Ambulance, promptly attended the scene to assist those involved in this unfortunate incident.

Among the occupants of the Ford Taurus was Wyatt Ronald Renne, a 26-year-old resident of Grove City, MN, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Paynesville Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford, Megan Renee Legler-Ferguson, and two young passengers, 2-year-old Rowan Wyatt Renne and 0-year-old Rose Maree Renne, were also taken to Paynesville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries or for precautionary evaluation. In contrast, the occupants of the Chrysler, Vicente Gordon Vela and 18-year-old passenger Jacob Curtis Durham, both from Litchfield, MN, emerged from the accident unharmed.
