Russell Bouie Killed in Hazel Crest, IL Hit-and-Run on October 2, 2025

On the night of October 2, 2025, Russell Bouie, 47, was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident in Hazel Crest, Illinois. The collision occurred just before 10 p.m. near the intersection of Kedzie Avenue and 176th Street. According to authorities, Bouie was crossing the roadway when a light-colored SUV struck him and fled the scene, heading southbound.

Bouie was transported to Christ Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on October 4. The owner of the vehicle later surrendered to the Hazel Crest Police Department but was released pending further investigation.
