Ann Lamppa Involved in Three-Vehicle Crash in Eveleth, MN on September 30, 2025

On September 30, 2025, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on northbound Highway 53 at milepost 62 in Eveleth, St. Louis County, Minnesota. The incident took place at approximately 8:02 p.m. when a 2014 Chevy Traverse, driven by 17-year-old Jermaine William Boshey of Virginia, MN, struck two stationary vehicles that were stopped at a traffic light. One of the vehicles impacted was a 2016 Jeep Cherokee operated by Ann Katherine Lamppa, 75, also of Virginia, MN.

Lamppa sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Health for medical evaluation. Two additional individuals in a third vehicle were also injured. Road conditions at the time were dry, and no alcohol was involved. The response included personnel from the Virginia and Eveleth Fire Departments, as well as St. Louis County Deputies. The crash is under investigation by Minnesota State Patrol.
