Augustina Romero Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision in Crookston, Minnesota – November 4, 2025

Authorities have identified Augustina Romero, 65, of Crookston, Minnesota, as one of the individuals injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on November 4, 2025, in Lowell Township, Polk County. The crash took place at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Highway 75 around 4:01 p.m. when a 2005 Mini Cooper, traveling westbound, collided with a 2026 Chevy Silverado heading northbound.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Romero was a passenger in the Mini Cooper driven by Julia Mejia, also of Crookston. Both women, along with a second passenger, Evelin Yaneth Munoz, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Riverview Health in Crookston. The driver of the Silverado, Robert Dean Yuergens, 79, was uninjured. Authorities confirmed that all parties were wearing seat belts, airbags were deployed, and no alcohol was involved. Road conditions at the time were reported as wet.
