Evelin Munoz Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision in Crookston, Minnesota – November 4, 2025

Authorities have identified Evelin Yaneth Munoz, 71, of Crookston, Minnesota, as one of three individuals injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on November 4, 2025, in Lowell Township, Polk County. The crash happened at approximately 4:01 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Highway 75 when a 2005 Mini Cooper traveling westbound collided with a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado traveling northbound.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Munoz was a passenger in the Mini Cooper driven by Julia Mejia, 65, also of Crookston. Both Mejia and another passenger, Augustina Romero, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and, along with Munoz, were transported to Riverview Health in Crookston for medical evaluation. The Silverado’s driver, Robert Dean Yuergens, 79, was uninjured. Authorities confirmed that all involved parties were wearing seat belts and that alcohol was not a factor. The road surface was reported as wet at the time of the crash, and airbags deployed in both vehicles.
