Daniel Evans Killed at Greenville Steel in Greenville, Michigan — January 11, 2026 Flatbed Truck Accident

Daniel Evans, 26, died during a workplace incident at the Greenville Steel recycling facility in Montcalm County, Michigan, on January 11, 2026. Evans, an employee of J&A Towing of Belding, was delivering a scrapped forklift to the site alongside another worker using a rollback flatbed truck. Michigan State Police confirmed that the incident occurred while the flatbed was being returned from its ramped position to a level position.

Initial findings indicate that Evans became trapped between the flatbed and the cab of the truck, causing fatal injuries. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration responded to investigate the circumstances of the incident in coordination with state police. The towing company declined to comment while the investigation remains ongoing.
