Deacon Abraham Forseman Involved in Wrong-Way Highway 200 Crash in Laporte, Minnesota on January 11, 2026

A two-vehicle collision on Highway 200 in Hubbard County disrupted traffic Sunday afternoon after a series of opposing-lane maneuvers led to a crash near County Road 45 in Laporte. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 1:54 p.m. when a northbound Ford F-250 entered the southbound lane. The southbound Chevrolet GMT-400 attempted to avoid a collision by crossing into the northbound lane, but the vehicles collided when the Ford returned to its original lane. Road conditions were reported as wet at the time.

Deacon Abraham Forseman, 19, of Laporte, Minnesota, was identified as the driver of the Chevrolet involved in the crash. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries but did not require transport to a medical facility. A passenger in his vehicle was not injured. Authorities confirmed that Forseman was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not suspected. The incident remains under review as investigators assess the sequence of events leading to the collision.
