Fannie Garza Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 190 | Lampasas, TX | September 20, 2025

On the evening of September 20, 2025, 63-year-old Fannie Jane Garza was fatally struck by a westbound 2013 Dodge 2500 pickup truck while attempting to cross East Highway 190 in Lampasas, Texas. The incident occurred around 8:37 p.m., approximately one block east of Key Avenue. Garza was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Lampasas Police Department, the preliminary investigation determined that Garza was walking north across the highway when the collision occurred. Neither the driver nor the passenger in the vehicle sustained injuries. An autopsy was ordered, and Garza’s identity was later confirmed with assistance from additional information provided to investigators. The police department formally identified her on September 23 and issued a statement offering condolences to her family.
