Fatal Accident Claims Life of Brandon Guerrero in Lubbock, Texas – September 27, 2025

A tragic incident occurred late Friday night in Lubbock, Texas, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Brandon Guerrero. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Guerrero was traveling northbound on Interstate 27, north of 98th Street, when his 2018 Ford Escape became disabled following a minor single-vehicle crash. After exiting his vehicle, Guerrero walked into the southbound lanes of U.S. 87, where he was struck by a 2017 Ford Mustang.

Authorities confirmed that Guerrero succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Mustang sustained minor injuries. The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. The incident adds to a growing concern about pedestrian fatalities on major Texas highways.
