Fatal Pedestrian Collision Claims Life of Kevin Lopez-Vazquez in El Paso, Texas – September 27, 2025

A fatal collision occurred late Friday evening in El Paso, Texas, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Kevin Lopez-Vazquez. According to the El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations Unit, Vazquez was struck by a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta while on Interstate 10 West near Paisano Drive. Emergency responders arrived shortly after 9:45 p.m., but Vazquez succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Authorities have identified the pedestrian’s presence on the freeway as the primary contributing factor in the incident. Westbound lanes of I-10 remained closed into Saturday morning as investigators continued to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
