Fatal Shooting of DaMarco Fletcher at Bar Zia in Minneapolis, Minnesota – November 4, 2025
On October 7, 2025, a fatal shooting occurred inside Bar Zia in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, resulting in the death of DaMarco Fletcher Jr., age 21. According to the criminal complaint released by Hennepin County authorities, the incident took place shortly after 11:30 p.m. when Arlonzo Williams Jr., age 26, allegedly opened fire inside the establishment. Fletcher sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other individuals were struck by gunfire and suffered non-fatal injuries.
Investigators recovered at least thirteen .40-caliber shell casings from the dance floor. Witnesses stated that the gunman appeared to target Fletcher specifically, with stray bullets striking the additional victims. Williams, who has prior felony convictions prohibiting firearm possession, was charged with one count of second-degree murder, three counts of second-degree attempted murder, and one count of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. He remains in custody at the Hennepin County Jail pending his next court appearance on December 8, 2025.
