Gerald Heston Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Rockford, MN on September 20, 2025

On the evening of September 20, 2025, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 55 and Main Street in Rockford, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2003 Ford F350 traveling westbound on Highway 55 collided with a 2018 Ford Escape that was stopped at the intersection preparing to turn north onto Main Street.

Gerald Woodrow Heston, 83, of Spring Lake Park, was a passenger in the Ford Escape. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. The vehicle’s driver, 80-year-old Sandra Lynn Heston, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the F350, Bill James Plamann, 63, of Dassel, was uninjured. The incident occurred under dry road conditions, and no alcohol was involved.
