Harold Boverhuis Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-35 – Oakland Township, MN, October 18, 2025

On October 18, 2025, a serious three-vehicle collision occurred on northbound Interstate 35 near County Road 46 in Oakland Township, Freeborn County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1999 Ford Explorer traveling southbound in the northbound lanes collided with a 2025 Honda CRV. Following the initial impact, a 1997 Chevrolet GMT-400 struck the Ford.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Harold Gene Boverhuis, an 85-year-old resident of Brownsdale, Minnesota, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic in Albert Lea for treatment. Authorities reported that road conditions were dry and that alcohol was not a contributing factor in the crash. Other individuals involved in the incident, including two with life-threatening injuries, were transported to area hospitals for medical care.
