Karen Marie Aamodt Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 169 | Elk River, MN | September 2025

On September 24, 2025, a traffic collision occurred on northbound Highway 169 near Milepost 159 in Elk River, Minnesota. The incident involved a 2020 Toyota Camry and a 2023 Peterbilt straight truck, both traveling in the same direction when the vehicles collided. The Toyota Camry was carrying 84-year-old Karen Marie Aamodt of Elk River, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Camry, identified as 56-year-old Jennifer Marie Ehemann of Hurlock, Maryland, was not injured. The driver of the Peterbilt, 22-year-old David Petrovich Yukhimchuk of Saint Michael, was also uninjured. Aamodt was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. Road conditions were dry at the time, and alcohol was not a factor. The incident was handled with assistance from Elk River Police, Fire, and Ambulance services.
