Rhianna Kanyetzny Injured in Fatal Collision on Highway 23 – Gilmanton Township, MN, October 18, 2025

On October 18, 2025, a fatal head-on collision occurred on Highway 23 near mile marker 220 in Gilmanton Township, Benton County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a northbound 2016 Chevrolet Silverado and a southbound 2016 Ram 1500 collided, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.

Rhianna Ann Kanyetzny, an 18-year-old passenger from Oak Park, Minnesota, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. She was transported to Princeton ER – Northland Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Silverado, Edward Leroy Hindermann, age 64 of St. Cloud, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 17-year-old driver of the Ram, from Foreston, was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Road conditions were reported as dry, and authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
