Scott Hunt Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Crash in Salt Lake City, Utah – October 20, 2025

On October 20, 2025, Scott Hunt, 59, died after being struck while crossing 500 South on a bicycle in Salt Lake City, Utah. The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. near 300 West. Hunt was initially transported to a local hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition; however, his condition rapidly deteriorated, and he was later pronounced dead.

Salt Lake City Police Department reported that the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Investigators are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the conduct of the westbound driver who struck Hunt.
