Susan Pedersen Seriously Injured in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota Collision on October 27, 2025

In Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, on October 27, 2025, a collision occurred between a southbound 2017 Ford F150 and a bicyclist entering the roadway from Walnut Street. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the bicyclist, identified as 74-year-old Susan Joy Pedersen of Sleepy Eye, sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash. The incident took place at the intersection of Highway 4 and Walnut Street SW at approximately 7:38 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle, 85-year-old Donald Joseph Billmeier, also of Sleepy Eye, was uninjured. Road conditions were reported as dry, and no alcohol was involved. Pedersen was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center for emergency treatment. The Sleepy Eye Police Department and local ambulance services assisted at the scene.
