Tracey Strande Injured in Highway 99 Collision in Kasota Township, Minnesota on October 21, 2025

On October 21, 2025, a collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 99 and Rabbit Road in Kasota Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident took place at approximately 1:37 p.m. when a northbound 2023 Mack dump truck attempted to turn westbound onto Highway 99 and collided with an eastbound 2001 Volkswagen Beetle driven by 55-year-old Tracey Lynn Strande of Cleveland, Minnesota.

Strande sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to River’s Edge Hospital in St. Peter for treatment. The driver of the dump truck, identified as 52-year-old Daniel Joseph Falk of Mankato, was uninjured. Authorities confirmed that both drivers were wearing seat belts and that road conditions were dry at the time of the incident. No alcohol involvement was reported. The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
