On December 4, 2025, Tyler McGurl, a 37-year-old man from Oklahoma City, died after his vehicle was struck by a semi-trailer on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 44 near mile marker 159.5, close to Warwick and Wellston in Lincoln County.
