William Thompson Injured in Head-On Collision in Garvin County, Oklahoma – September 28, 2025

On the evening of September 28, 2025, a serious motor vehicle collision occurred on State Highway 29 in Garvin County, Oklahoma. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 73-year-old Phyllis Hensley of Elmore City was traveling westbound when she crossed into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle.

The crash resulted in the death of Hensley at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 83-year-old William Thompson, also of Elmore City, sustained injuries as a result of the impact. No further information has been released regarding Thompson’s condition or the cause of the lane departure. The incident remains under investigation.
